Some hack intern at National Review named Ian Tuttle wrote a whiny piece about all the ‘White Nationalists” supporting Trump, and the comment section erupted into an epic battle. At the time of this writing there were 2505 comments and that is apparently with a whole lot of deletions. Off course the NRO regulars are crying out for comment censorship, indicating their fear of actual engagement. Much better an echo chamber.
Some of our moral and intellectual superiors are trying to convince us the underlying cause of the execution of two Roanoke journalists is an abstract thing called “gun violence.” Others argue it’s bigger than that – it’s actually an unfortunate example of “workplace violence”:
UC Haas School of Business professor Jo-Ellen Pozner says one possible key to addressing workplace violence is to find ways to address employees’ mental health and wellness.
“It seems clear that there was an emotional, mental health issue going on here and that’s I think the key to figuring out how to deal with these things in the workplace,” Pozner said, “I think there’s a public policy question there that we need to address in a larger level, that’s less about workplace violence and more about the violence in our society today.”
This isn’t just nonsense, but dangerous nonsense. Vester Flanagan hated Whites, and was convinced Whites conspired to hold him back and demean him out of racial hate. He was so obsessed with his delusions of racial persecution that anything could set him off, as one ex-coworker commented:
‘We would say stuff like, “The reporter’s out in the field.” And he would look at us and say, “What are you saying, cotton fields? That’s racist”.’
‘We’d be like, “What?’ We all know what that means, but he took it as cotton fields, and therefore we’re all racists.’
Fair added: ‘This guy was a nightmare. ‘Management’s worst nightmare.’
I’ll bet there are thousands more just like him. People like Flanagan constantly hear warnings that Whites are holding them back and oppressing them. That’s the drumbeat you hear from the Social Justice Warriors, antifa thugs, newspaper editors, and race hustlers. According to these prophets of doom, even Whites who appear helpful and supportive are still responsible for something called “institutional racism” that silently and secretly prevents Blacks from getting ahead. White success, on the other hand, is assured by another malevolent and unseen force called “White privilege.” So Vester Flanagan only struck back at those who exerted their mysterious and detrimental power over him.
The gatekeepers of approved thought who bloviated that the Charleston murders were caused by a memorial to Southern war dead are now scrambling to assure us it wasn’t anything THEY said that fueled Vester Flanagan’s hatred of Whites.
Dolezal was supposed to have a meeting with the board of the Spokane NAACP today which she cancelled. Some people balked that she didn’t have the authority to cancel it. I wonder if she already knew she was going to resign, or if she increasingly came to realize that her remaining was not tenable. Breitbart has her statement.
People need to get off Rachel’s back. She can’t help it that she is a black woman born/trapped is a white woman’s body. All her haters need to check their cis-race privilege, and stop bullying her because she is WrongSkin. Good grief! This is the year 2015. When are people going to give up their antiquated belief in DNA?
Caitlyn Jenner is born a man, declares himself female.
Rachel Dolezal is born white, declares herself black, becomes the president of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP, and witnesses doubtful racial-hate attacks (multiple).
Khaliela Wright (unknown Disqus commenter) writes in defence of Dolezal:
The color of your skin and your heritage have nothing to do with the question, “What race do you consider yourself to be?”
Both of my parents list their race as Caucasian, yet I stopped identifying as “white” years ago. I am not lying when I tell people that I am not white, because I don’t identify as white and I certainly don’t get treated like I’m white.
Of course, it’s not news when thugs burn down a building after
looting liberating its contents. But this statement by a spokesman for the organization that built the community center is VERY newsworthy. Here’s my transcript (which is strangely missing from the media’s reports):
“My heart is obviously broken because somebody did not understand that we were for the community, someone didn’t understand that we were working on behalf of the community, to invest when nobody else would. We wanted not to see gentrification or further injustice, but we wanted to see this community rebuilt for the existing residents of Broadway and East Baltimore.”
Here’s the video:
When the spokesman denounces “gentrification,” he’s talking about the influx of whites into what was once a predominantly black community. Few things rile the left like gentrification (see here and here.)
A few questions:
1 – Could it be that no one else wants to invest in this community because its residents do things like this?
2 – Why is it a good thing to oppose whites moving into a black neighborhood, but bad to oppose blacks moving into a white neighborhood?
3 – Why is it “racist” for whites to move INTO a black neighborhood, and “racist” for whites to move OUT of a black neighborhood?
My head hurts.
Uh-oh. Despite all the gnashing of liberal teeth about the Colorado Sprints NAACP office being bombed, turns out the doofus who tried to set off a container of gasoline ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BUILDING was after his accountant, whom he blamed for his bankruptcy.
But lack of evidence didn’t stop the usual suspects from fanning the flames. The SPLC breathlessly reported “FBI agents and local law enforcement officials are seeking a middle-aged, balding white man this morning in connection with an explosion yesterday outside of the Colorado Springs chapter of the NAACP, the oldest civil rights organization in the country.”
A White man? Eeek! Of course it was a racist attack. It couldn’t be any clearer! And MSNBC did its best to spin this as a racial incident. A grim and disturbed Ed Schultz parroted the liberal line about how it JUST HAD TO BE an attack on the NAACP. He even brought in Mark Potok of the SPLC as a TOTALLY UNBIASED expert to back him up. Never mind that Potok is a yellow journalist rather than a law enforcement officer or terrorism expert. Potok told Ed Schultz it was no surprise the bombing occurred in Colorado Springs because even though Colorado’s cities are liberal, “Once you get out into the country, it is a very conservative state.” Yes, Mark, “mad bomber” is just a synonym for “conservative.”
And the SPLC says we’re biased!
We need a new movement to raise awareness. How about Accounting Lives Matter?
