Congratulations are in order to our friend Tom Piatak. He has been named the new President of the Rockford Institute. He is succeeding Dr. Thomas Fleming who will remain as Editor of Chronicles Magazine. For some reason a song keeps popping into my head:

That’s great. Hopefully Chronicles doesn’t run more articles on the virtues of American-brand cars. 😀 Otherwise, I really like Mr. Piatek.
And yes, it’s important cars be made in America. Trade tariffs though could accomplish that surely, especially if the tariffs treat Mexico as a foreign country.
