Yahoo News reports on a story I doubt most here have read.
A divorced couple with five children (some possibly from other partners) have been sued by their 21-yr-old daughter, to pay her out-of-state tuition. And the court has ruled against the parents, ruling that they must pay their child’s tuition. According to the Yahoo article, written by the father, a married couple is under no such obligation.
Additional information: The plaintiff lives with her grandparents. The father claims this is because she didn’t want to obey her parents’ rules, e.g chores, curfew. The father claims he offered to pay in-state tuition. NJ legislators are writing a new bill to protect divorcees from their children.
